Still disoriented by his new condition, Rimuru cautiously explores his immediate surroundings, an underground cave with labyrinthine dimensions. He gradually discovers the extent of his extraordinary abilities, notably the power to duplicate and analyze the skills of any creature he encounters or absorbs. This exploration also lets him grasp the fundamental rules governing this parallel world, quite different from those he knew in his former life. Rimuru quickly realizes that despite his puny appearance, he possesses extraordinary potential he will need to learn to master.
